Last of the Mohicans.
This book is about two Americans in the French-Indian war, who wer forced from their fort to another. They are helped by an unkown indian and a scout named Hawkeye travel through the wilderness.
On the way, they are ambushed by Iroquis indians and captured. The women, Cora and Alice are captured and Hawkeye, Uncas and Chingachkook try to free them. After their escape, they make it to safety at Fort William Henry. Cora and Alice tell their father what they have been through.
The girls father, Colonel Munro must give up Fort William Henry and as the people left the fort they were ambushed by Iroquois indians again. Then Hawkeye and Major Heyward work with Uncas to free Alice and Cora again.
Le Renard Subtil finds out that Uncas is the last Mohican indian and wants to kill him. Cora gets killed by Le Renard's bodyguard and then Le Renard kills Uncas and Hawkeye kills Le Renard.
In the end there is a funeral for Uncas and Cora and the Mohicans become friends with the Americans.
